Performances

There are three major concerts that Choir Victoria organises for the year. These are:

Mid Year (June) Concert. At this concert all group perform and leadership roles are assigned to Cadenza Choristers for the year.
Spring Concert. At this concert the focus is on the performance by our choristers.
Christmas Concert currently held at the Victorian Police Academy Chapel in Glen Waverley. This is a 'Lessons and Carols' structured concert. All groups perform and Choir leaders are recognised. Special awards are also presented at this concert.

We regularly get asked to perform at special or private events. Cadenza Choristers perform at these events. Some special events we have attended in the past are:

Morning Melodies at Hamer Hall, Melbourne hosted by Mr David Hobson. Performance included singing "The Holy City" as a backing choir for Mr Hobson
Geelong Football Club's Best and Fairest Night where we sang the Club theme song
Remembrance Day Service at the Shrine Of Remembrance in Melbourne
Victoria Day Celebrations at the Melbourne Town Hall
Weddings
Burwood Carols By Candelight

Upcoming Tours

National and International touring is an important and exciting event occurring approximately once every three years for Choir Victoria. In 2010, we will hold our 10th tour which will include travelling to Central Australia. Tours are subsidised by regular fundraising during the years between tours. We are delighted to be undertaking an 11 day tour in July 2010 during the school holiday period, travelling throughout Central Australia with an emphasis on the Northern Territory. Up to thirty-five Cadenza and Intrada Choristers will form the Performing Choir to take part in this exciting tour! Further details will be provided closer to the departure date.

Past Tours

Since our first tour in 1978, the Victorian Boys' Choir has performed in England, France, Italy, Germany, Austria and United States of America. In 2002, the Victorian Girls' Choir was formed and in 2007 we registered formally as Choir Victoria. The most recent tour was to New Zealand in 2005 which included all Cadenza level choristers from the Victorian Boys Choir and Victorian Girls Choir and a selected group of Intrada Choristers.
